HH Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche
Attends Last Day of Practice
----------------------------
The monks in Namdroling, South India, engaged in the three-roots Tsog practice for six days. Each day they offered 100,000 Tsog offerings. (For those of you not familiar with the term "tsog," it is an offering ceremony that includes food and other items).
On the last day, His Holiness Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche came to Namdroling and carried through the "Averting the Invitation of the Dakinis" (khandro yi sun dok) practice. HH Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche also carried through the body, speech and mind practices and longlife practice for His Holiness Penor Rinpoche.
His Holiness Penor Rinpoche Recovered
-------------------------------------
His Holiness Penor Rinpoche has now recovered from sickness and is as normal. He has departed for Northern India and will be at the Bir branch monastery for a two week period.
Needless to say, everyone is very grateful for the practice of all who were able to participate in this recent practice. Sincere thanks to everyone for their well wishes.
Accumulations (Repeating the Mantras)
------------------------------------
This year is a very special year and this particular event has reminded us all of the importance of practicing together as students following the path within the Palyul tradition. Namdroling will continue to accumulate practices for the entire year.
Throughout this year we students can join our robed sangha brothers and sisters and offer a commitment to accomplish mantras, particularly of practices for which we have received commitments (samaya) from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. Also, as it is a Wood Monkey year, it is a particularly good time to remember Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) and to carry through practices such as the Seven-Line Prayer and Vajra Guru mantra. Newer students can focus on simple sitting practice.
If you would like to make such a commitment, please email longlife @ palyul.org.
